My Little Beggers
The other day Rachel and Annie begged me to play out front. I usually don't let them without me for fear of kidnapping or a ball running in the street etc. They assured me they would stay in the driveway so I gave in and let them. I was busy in the kitchen and noticed that they kept coming in and out of the house. Both the girls had mismatched clothes on and had messed up their hair. They grabbed a sharpie marker and were in the garage disassembling a box and writing on it. That's when I knew they were up to something and this is what I found. My sweet little girls thought it would be a good idea to hold a sign and pretend they were poor so they could earn a buck. You see this kind of thing at different intersections in Austin quite a bit so I'm sure that's where they came up with this genius idea. Rachel told me that she wrote it really messy and spelled would wrong so they would think they were uneducated. After I lectured them for being disobedient and breaking the rules I went in the other room and laughed. Kids do the darnedest things.

That is so funny AND creative!! I'm glad you captured and documented this--it will bring a good laugh for a long time.
Nice to see you back in the blogger world. I was wondering where you disappeared (I know I am guilty too).
Are you serious! Your girls are quite the crafty ones.
Amy
That is awesome!! I would of had a hard time not cracking up too! Did they make any $? haha!
I shut em down before the sign was held up for business. LOL!
Toooooo funny! You've got your hands full with those two! Love you all!
I am still laughing! Anything to make a buck I guess.

That is hilarious, funny what kids come up with sometimes!!
love it! gosh i miss them-we gotta see you guys soon!
That's impressive thinking, better watch out when they figure out where the real money is at.
Did they make any money? :)
Very very cute story!!
So funny!!! What a great story. Those girls are awfully creative!
What a couple of little entrepreneur's! Now, if you can just channel that creativity into other worthwhile projects, (or not) they could both have great careers in business or politics! hehe
That is great, a bit scary, but great. I remember all the guys selling roses at every street corner. Keep an eye on those 2, they might cause you some trouble, they seem to see EVERYTHING.
Okay- this really is so funny and I'm glad you documented it. I'm sure this will be a favorite story in the years to come.
Too funny! Gotta love creative minds!
