Back To School

Today was the day...all the kiddos went back to school. My fire alarm went off at 12:30 last night and Annie hopped out of bed to get ready for school. She was that excited for Kindergarten. I think out of all the kids she was the most ready to go. Annie fell asleep at 4:30 this afternoon. It was a long day.
Rachel was pretty confidant this year. She knew a couple of the kids in her class and was excited for that. Rachel always has little admirers right away. There was a boy named Chase waiting at our house after school. I'm gonna have to lock that girl up when she turns 16.
Marcus was a little nervous this morning. He was worried because he didn't have his schedule yet and he thought I'd just drop him off to figure it out himself. We got to school and got him situated and I could tell he wanted us to leave right away. I was most anxious to hear how his day was. I mean middle school is a whole new world. Three more years and he'll be in High School. Am I that old? UGH!
Everyone seemed happy, hungry, and tired after their first day. Always a good sign to me. I got to clean the house and hang out with Christian today. It was nice to have my little buddy with me. He seemed to enjoy the quiet as well.

Your kids are growing up! I can't believe Marcus is in middle school. Your kids are all very good looking, they take after their mom. You really look great!

Woohoo! Great pictures for the memory books! Can't believe you've got three in school now! I was always so excited with the girls for the first day of school each year. Also a wee sad. I liked having my kiddos home during the summer and missed them and the fun when school started. Good thing you have Christian to play with during the day! Love ya.

Such beautiful kiddos you can see where they get it => How crazily fast they grow up... It seems like just yesterday I was in middle school!

Awesome looking family! I love the picture with them all lined up along the garage together. You look great Heidi! I understand about the "locking up the kids at 16" thing. Both Sydney and Tyler have admirers at school as well. Of course, Sydney is such a flirt naturally that she doesn't even understand what it is she is doing. The saddest kind of flirt- hopeless!

Wow. Those really are great shots Heidi. You look so beautiful. They are good looking kids those neices and nephews of mine. I am so glad things are going smoothly for them. I don't doubt that Marcus has a few admirers himself. He is so cute!! I would have a crush on him if I were 11! Love ya!

Funniest/Saddest moment of the day. When we dropped Marcus off at Middle School. I put my arm around him (way before we were close to the school). He shrugged it off in a nice as I can say, "Dad not here." He was nervous about his schedule and had too much to carry. So he did want us to go in with him. Once he realized only his parents were looking into the room where he was supposed to be, it was obvious it was time to go. At the end of the day, he did rush up to us to tell us all about his day.
